Pete Olson is in a runoff this April for Texas' 22nd Congressional District which lies in suburban Houston and is a seat currently held by Democrat Nick Lampson. Olson is a former Naval aviator, lawyer and staffer for former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm and current Senator John Cornyn.

State Rep. Dan Gattis

Dan Gattis, now in his third term, serves on the powerful House Appropriations Committee. As a member of the Budget Conference Committee he was largely responsible for creating a balanced budget while also providing a safety net for those who are physically unable to care for themselves. He also serves on the House Natural Resources which sets Texas’ water policy.

Gattis has received numerous recognitions for his dedicated and effective leadership in the House.

Dean Hrbacek is running for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas' 22nd district. Democrat Nick Lampson currently holds this seat in what is considered a strong Republican district. Republicans have a very good chance of winning this seat in 2008.

Quico Canseco (TX-23)

Canseco is trying to put this seat back in Republican hands. From 1992 to 2006 TX-23 was represented by Republican Henry Bonilla. In 2006 Bonilla was defeated in a run off and the seat is now held by Democrat Ciro Rodriguez. This could be a Republican pick up in 2008, but Quico will need your help to win it.
